The first step would be to visit a chapter that suits your schedule and does not currently have a member that is in your business category. You are welcome to visit each chapter to get a feel for how they operate. Even though a part of the same organization, each chapter has its own “personality."
Once you have found a chapter you like, you simply submit your application. Once that application is approved, you will become an official member of that chapter and have the right to block your category. Keep in mind that you and any other member can only block one category.
Once you have become a member it is important that you take the time to meet with every member outside of the regular weekly meetings, as the key to growing your referrals and your chapter, is getting people on the same page.
So start planning your visit by taking a look at current chapters and its member businesses. Please be reminded that only members in good standing of The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County are eligible to participate. Members can visit two meetings before requesting for an application. Non-members can visit one meeting before committing to chamber membership and to a specific Business Partnership Network (BPN) chapter.
